Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea While On Metrogyl

Question: Hello,

I have been having loose motions since yesterday, there is no fever or any additional symptoms associated with it apart from the general weakness.

I have taken Metrogyl 400 mg - 1 @ Night and 1 @ Morning (Today) and haven't seen any much difference.

Please suggest any better medication for this and any additional precautions which I need to take.

Loose stools usually are due to infection.
It may last for a couple of days.

You need to concentrate on your hydration status.
A good urine output and a moist tongue are indicators of good hydration.

You can take probiotic supplements like Econorm twice a day.
If there are blood and mucus, then you may require antibiotics.
You can take Zanocin OZ twice a day for 5-7 days.
Take rice based diet and include more yogurt.
Drink enough fluids.
