Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea, Indigestion And Acidity
Question: Hello Doctor,
My father in law is suffering from Diarrhea, indigestion,acidity and feels like going to the bathroom but only gas come out. He had ham two days ago after which it has started. Could you please suggest any medication.

He seems to have developed stomach infection.
I would recommend following in such cases :
1. A combination of antibiotic-containing Ofloxacin and Ornidazole twice a day for 5 days (please obtain the appropriate prescription from your local physician).
2. A combination of Pantoprazole and Domperidone (40/30)mg once daily.
3. A probiotic like Vizylac twice daily for 5 days.
Make sure he is not having any chest heaviness or pain. If he has doubt get an ECG done.
Make him drink plenty of oral fluids.
Give simple diet like khichdi and yogurt for the time being along with fresh fruits.
