Brief Answer:
It is normal for a child of this age to pass stool several times a day

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

Let me assure you that for a child of two months of age, it is normal to pass stool 10 times a day or even once in 10 days. In either case, there is nothing to worry. Moreover, you need not worry about the colour of stool be it greenish or yellowish. Breast milk is the best possible feed for a baby and you should not shift to Zerolac. Your doctor has not been guiding you in the right direction and I would strongly insist that you get in touch with some other doctor for the healthcare requirements of your child.

Stool of ALL individuals contain bacteria. Had it not been so, you could have applied stool on some wound without needing to worry about infection. But surely that is not the case. Bacteria in stool does not require treatment unless the pus cell count in stool is raised. Otherwise, I would not support the use of antibiotics.

It is absolutely normal for your child to pass stool after each feed and nothing needs to be done about it. All you need to do is to give breast feeding.

Hope that helps.

Regards
