Brief Answer:
Avoid caffeine, chlropramazine, Atropine, see Dr

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for the query,

I do understand how disturbing this could be. However, it is imperative to get a complete clinical review to try to identify possible treatable causes.

An enlarged liver as seen in hepatitis could cause spasms. It is imperative to note if you have had any trauma lately.

Numerous treatment options do exist to manage this condition. Life style changes like avoiding caffeine containing agents like Coffee and Coca cola within this period would be advisable.

Drugs like Atropine, Myorelaxants, Chlorpramazine have been generally successful in treating diaphramatic spams. A complete clinical review, chest X ray and an abdominal ultrasound are usually sufficient, in case its so severe, in identifying, coupled to clinical symptoms the cause of the spasms.

I strongly suggest you consult a doctor especially if this is the first time you are experiencing this. Thanks and kind regards as I wish you the best of health.

Please, do feel free asking further follow up questions in case of need. Kind regards,

Dr Bain
