Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXX,

Thanks for consulting Healthcare magic .
This is Dr. Priyanka Tiwari answering your query .

I have read your query and gone through the image you have attached as far as I have observed your child has initial dental caries in upper central incisors . Since the caries is very initial stage treatment option can be Restoration or you can maintain proper oral hygiene and keep a eye on teeth & observe if it progress then consult pedodontist and go for treatment (restoration) of teeth with dental cement . As you are asking yes it can be controlled from this stage by maintaing good oral hygiene by brushing twice daily and regular rinses of teeth after breast feeding .
For this I will suggest you not to be worried so much as she is 2 years old it is difficult to handle your child for treatment (restoration) . So this time you can take care of her teeth by brushing and avoid sweets especialy before going to bed . Consult Pedodontist every 3 months for clinical examination and evaluation .

Wishing your child good health .
Hope I have answered your query .
If you have further query I will be happy to help.

I am really terrified...I have gone through few article that anaesthesia may b life threatening for babies.
I am very much worried and concerned.

as she is very kid its upon her mood when she wants to brush or rinse her teeth. I can't force bcoz she is nt able to understand now. she even eats toothpaste. or swallow the water I give her to rinse.

I really dnt want to ruin her childhood appearence due to her rotten teeth.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I understand your concern. In this circumstance, as your child has initial caries for this I will suggest atraumatic restorative treatment plan and if possible go for Atraumatic restoration. A pedodontist will know about this procedure. Here (in Atraumatic restoration treatment) caries is removed with the help of hand instrument like spoon excavator and restoring the cavity with dental cement like Glass inomer cement. There is no anaesthesia involved in atraumatic restoration and ART reduces pain.

On the long run, I will also suggest you some measures to prevent early childhood caries :
- wipe your infant gums and teeth after feeding . Use clean wet cloth to remove food debris .
- Have whole family brush together at bed time .
- When you child is old enough not to swallow toothpaste . Use flouridated toothpaste .

Hope I have answered your query .
If you have further query I will be happy to help .

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXX,

I have read your query and understand your concern . Dont be afraid so much XXXXX, when you consult Pedodontist and visit there clinic all pedodontist know behavior management techniques for children . If she becomes anxious when she see dentist then your dentist can suggest to give her conscious sedation . Conscious sedation is also termed as mild sedation . Conscious sedation is safe and dentist can give conscious sedation in form of medicine that helps your child to relax and become sleepy . In conscious sedation child will able to respond to voices and maintain her protective reflexes

Dont be worried so much, consult good pedodontist and go for treatment . Wishing your child good health . God bless her . Stay healthy .

Hope I have answered your query .

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXX ,

Welcome again .

I have read your query and understand your concern for your child . I will answer all your questions so dont get confused . See what happened is if caries is deep then there is spread infection in root and periapical region of tooth which leads to mobility and tooth fall . In deep carious tooth restoration is done to avoid spread of infection .
2. As your pedodontist has advised no GA instead filling only . See what happened is GA is given in cases like extraction of firm tooth , supernumery or surgery . In your child filling (restoration) can be done without GA if required mild sedation can be given .
3. Benefits of fluoride application : fluoride is greatest defence against tooth decay . As fluoride it is directly absorbed in tooth and help in replacing plaque acid . Fluoride is essential for tooth development also . So I will also suggest you to consult pedodontist and go for filling of tooth and flouride application for your daughter .

Dont get panic, there is nothing to be worried so much consult pedodontist and go for your daughter's treatment .

Hope I have answered your query .
If you have further query I will be happy to help.
