Question: Hello...my daughter is 2 years old...and I noticed a tiny decay between her upper front teeth.
I am so worried. She is totally breast fed but fond of fruit juices and sweets.
I want to know that if it's a decay...then her teeth gonna spoil or is there any way to stop or control further decay.
I want to know can any treatment cure her decay in early stages..I want to save her teeth and appearance at any cost. But dnt want to hurt her.

Brief Answer:
Nursing bottle caries, restore with cement material

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your query. I have gone through your query.
As far as the decay in the upper front teeth is concerned, it can be a nursing bottle caries secondary to the use of feeding bottle. Particularly this kind of caries occurs when you feed them just before going to bed.
Nothing to be panic, consult a pediatric dental surgeon and get the teeth restored with a cement.
In future take care of the teeth by brushing the teeth morning and night. Avoid sweets before going to bed.
These are the possible causes, diagnosis and treatment plan based on the description of the problem by yourself. If you can upload the images, I can give you exact diagnosis and treatment plan.
I hope i have answered your query. If any queries are there reply me back. Take care.

Brief Answer:
initial dental caries, restoration, pediatric dental surgeon.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your reply and uploading the image.
Nothing to be panic, it is very initial dental caries or decay. You can consult a pediatric dental surgeon and get it restored. By getting it filled you can stop it from spreading further deep.

Hello doctor
Is it possible to fill this caries at this very intial stage?
I met an dentist today...he suggested some tooth paste and said to clean her teeth.and said that it's very early stage so no cement treatment required.
I am worried that if the filling can restore her teeth then why did he say just to keep cleaning her teeth.
Plz guide me.
If without filling her teeth will destroy?

Brief Answer:
Initia decay, observe, maintain oral hygiene

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your reply and concern.
The dentist might have not advised the restoration since the teeth are in a very initial stage of decay. Nothing to worry, you can maintain these teeth by brushing the teeth regularly and maintaining the oral hygiene. Keep an eye on these teeth, if any progress in the decay, then get these teeth restored. It takes 3-6 months for the decay to progress further. This can be avoided by brushing the teeth. I advised the restoration of the teeth prophylactically. At this age it is difficult to handle your kid and she might not accept the treatment also. So you can wait for some time and observe. Every 3-6 months consult a pediatric dental surgeon and get it evaluated. Nothing to worry it will not harm your kid.
I hope i ave answered your query. If any queries are there reply me back.
