Suggest Treatment For Dark Brown Spot On Armpit
Question: Hi, I am 49 years old. Two years ago, a dark brown spot appeared on my armpit. It seems like it has gotten bigger since then. A year ago, the same thing appeared on the other armpit. Can you please tell me what it is? Is it possibly skin cancer? I rarely go out in the sun.
I have taken a picture but cannot figure out how to attach it. Can you also let me know how to send it to you if possible? Thank you.

Thank you for your answer. I will make appointment with my doctor. Meanwhile, can I ask you some more questions about this (just to set my mind easy a bit before i can see my doctor) ? The brown spot that may need biopsy has a weird shape but it looks symmetrical, isn't it ? And it has an even distribution of color. It is flat without any bleeding, itching or scaling. So why do you suspect it skin cancer? Can you please explain more to me ? Is there any other possible reason for those spots ? (like age spot, fungus, hormone change at menopause age ...).

And biopsy can prove not just cancer.
It can also detect autoimmune conditions and even infections like fungus.
However, I don't think it is skin infection.
It's common with conditions like diabetes that you don't have.
Menopausal change is a possibility but then no treatment is needed there. Our biopsy will confirm that no treatment is needed in such a case.
