Suggest Treatment For Cough And Phlegm

Question: I've had a cough with clear phlegm for about 3 weeks and I am constantly clearing my throat. It is not interrupting my sleep. It seems worse with humid weather.

Thanks for posting your query on HCM.

You cough and phlegm appears to be due to allergy. Do you have any history of allergy esp to dust and smoke? Any breathlessness or wheezing? Do you have reflux disease?

You should take anti allergics like montair lc. If you also have reflux disease, take a PPI like Pan 40 as reflux can also cause cough and phlegm.

If cough still persists, it`s better to consult you local physician or pulmonologist and get basic investigations like chest xray and spirometry done because it could be cough variant asthma and you will need inhalers.
