Question: my child is 9 months old. he is suffeting from cough and little bit of running nose with fever. can we give Maxtra 1mL and or P-125 oral suspension 1 mL for 3 times a day? or else suggest the best

Thanks for asking on this platform

The most common cause of fever with running nose and cough in this age is some viral infection.
Maxtra contains chlorpheniramine an antiallergic and phenylephrine a decongestant.It helps in relieving cough and running nose both.
The dose is 1 ml 3-4 times a day.
I suggest you to monitor the temperature and to give paracetamol if temperature is more than 100 F(dose will be 10-15 mg/kg/dose i. e.4-5 ml each time) .You need not to give it round the clock. .
I won't get worried if there is no breathing difficulty, baby is active and feeding well.
In most of the cases the fever usually starts declining after 3-4 days.
If fever persists or abnormal symptoms appear,consult your doctor immediately.
