Question: so I had to go to the doctor last night for pain in my lower abdomen. They told me it was a cyst on my ovary but didn't do any scans to confirm, just assumed that's what it was because I've had them before. I'm still experiencing the pain in my lower left abdomen, I've had naseua, appetite decrease, constipation, and chills the last couple of days. the doctor last night didn't ask my symptoms just gave me morphine and told me it would go away.
I've had trouble with hard stools a lot recently as well. along with rectal bleeding. another issue might be kidneys because when I had surgery on my foot I took a lot of pain pills.

do you think the doctor was correct in the cyst? is there something else?
I don't think it's just a cyst.

Brief Answer:
Please be advised to follow up.with the emergency room

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for trusting HealthcareMagic for your health concern

The symptoms.youbare experiencing cannot be explained by the presence of ovarian cyst alone. However, complications that occur in the cyst like torsion (where cyst causes ovaries to twist on itself) can cause similar symptoms you are experiencing. The presence of ovarian torsion require immediate surgical intervention, as the blood supply to ovary is reduced during torsion.
Another important possibility is presence of ureteric stones and Urinary tract infection that can lead to abdominal pain, fever ,nausea and constipation.

You will need an Ultrasound abdomem with Doppler to assess blood flow to ovaries,.urine analysis and culture and abdominal Xray to rule out presence of stones. Please be advised to follow w up with the ER to undergo necessary evaluation.
