Suggest Treatment For Constipation Caused After Having Lapidus Surgery

default
Posted on Mon, 2 Mar 2015
Question: I had a lapidus surgery a week ago, I took pain medication for 4 days and it was causing constipation and stopped it after. For the last 4 days my blood pressure is creating up slowly from. 135/65 to 160/70. I would like to know if this is normal after the surgery or my blood is getting thicker because of lack of excercise. Sometime I am getting light headed when I gets up from the bed. I will appreciate your reply.
Thanks

Brief Answer:
Not related to surgery

Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir!

I understand your concern.I would like to say that this is most probably not related to surgery. But since you are not as active as before that is lack of exercise it might add fat to your blood vessel which might cause increase in blood pressure.

I would advise you to start doing light exercise and follow your blood pressure readings. If even after exercise it does not decrease your BP,then there should be change of dosage of your medications.

Terazosin can cause dizziness as a side effect,if the disocmfort increases you can ask your physician to change this drug.

Hope this helps.Feel free to ask more.
