Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcaremagic
Greetings of the day

Dear Sir

The feeling and urge for going to bathroom and not able to pass is known as Tenesmus. It usually occurs due to Proctitis (Inflammation of rectum ). Exact diagnosis will depend on detailed clinical history and examination.

It would be very helpful if you could provide me with the following additional information

1. Since how long have you been facing the problem ?

2. How often do you have bowel movement?

3. Are you constipated?

4. Do you have pain or swelling in anal region?

5. Is there bleeding while having bowel movement?

Awaiting your response

Take care

Brief Answer:
High fiber diet will be helpful

Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir

Going by short description of your symptoms I would suggest you the following

1. Ensure good intake of water : 2 to 3 liter a day

2. High fiber diet : 2 servings of vegetable salad and 2 servings of fruits especially citrus fruit will ensure adequate intake of water

3. Laxatives like Lactulose will be helpful in giving soft consistency to stool

4. Hot Seitz bath : To a tub of lukewarm water add 2 spoons of antiseptic solution. Sit in it for 15 to 20 minutes each session twice a day. It will help relieve the spasm

Do get back to me if you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.

Take care

Best regards
Dr Deepak
