Brief Answer:
Allergic Rhintis - Needs Imaging to rule out sinus issues

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have gone through your question and understand your concerns that you are having sequence of sneezes with running nose.

Based on your clinical details, it seems to be allergic rhinitis.

Long standing allergic rhinitis can give rise to sinusitis, allergic polyps (small growths in the walls of the nose and sinuses) as well as asthma.

Allergic rhino sinusitis, which is often resistant to oral medications, may need to be managed with intravenous antibiotics and steroids.

As you are already on oral antibiotic and steroidal nasal spray, I suggest you to under go blood tests (absolute eosinophilc count, IgE), ct scan of para nasal sinuses (sinusitis, polyp) to know the severity and extent of allergic sinusitis.

Meanwhile, continue same spray thrice daily. You may also discuss with your doctor about the possibility of starting prophylactic anti allergic medication tabs. Something like Lukotas-LC (montelukost + cetrizine) daily one tab at bed time. This is a prescription medication though, so you must talk to your doctor first.

Hope this answers your question, if you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health.

Brief Answer:
continue tab.lukotas-lc.

Detailed Answer:

Hello again,

Thanks for considering my answer and for your follow up.

Yes. you can start this medication (lukotas-lc) and continue for 2-4 months. Please discuss with your treating doctor before stoppage of any existing medication or starting anything new. Medications like these have to be stopped in tapered manner.

Before that, kindly confirm for associated factors like polyp, or sinusitis with CT scan of para nasal sinuses.

Hope, I have answered your query.

Take care.
