Brief Answer:
most likely an infection, most sore throats are viral

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Allergies can cause nasal congestion and sore throat but would not normally be associated with the generalized symptoms of pain and the chilly sensation.

These additional symptoms are in keeping with an acute infection. It may be viral and not strep throat however, most cases of acute sore throat are due to a viral infection.

If you want to determine definitively if it is strep or viral, you would need testing at your doctor's office.

The tylenol would help with the generalized pain, pain in the throat and the fever (chills usually indicate there is some fever present).
You can consider adding :(1)first and foremost rest, fluids,
(2)topical painkiller for the throat- chloroseptic spray/gargle, covonia throat spray
(3)anti histamine/decongestant combination such as zyrtec d, allegra d, claritine d, benadryl d
(4)if a cough occurs , a cough suppressant can be added eg dextromethorphan- also over the counter

A wet cough would require a mucolytic to help break up the mucus eg bisolvan, mucomyst, guaifenesin
(5)if your doctor suspects a bacterial cause for the sore throat, then antibiotics would be needed

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
