Stuffy nose is one of the most difficult symptoms to treat. Here is what I do for my patients and I have been moderately successful
1. Oxymetazoline nasal drops for immediate relief
2. ct of the paranasal sinus to rule out chronic sinusitis and deviated nasal septum
3. correction of the deviated nasal septum
4. steam inhalation 3 times a day
5. n acetylcysteine nebulisation to melt all the mucous
