Suggest Treatment For Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria

default
Posted on Mon, 8 Dec 2014
Question: Dear Doctor,
From last few months I’m experiencing itching all over body resulting in burns and swelling, I tried with medicines prescribed by doctors but this had not helped much, doctors had diagnosed this as chronic idiopathic urticaria. Now they are planning ‘Autohaemotherapy’ along with systematic treatment. They have advised me five sessions of this.
FYI- my blood test report is normal and eiosinophill count is within normal limit.
I would like to know from you more on ‘Autohaemotherapy’. What exactly this treatment is and also is this safe?
Does this have any side effects? Is this the only way to cure my itching problem fast and permanently?

Thank You.

Brief Answer:
go for Autihemotherapy

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query.
Autohemotherapy is one of the method to control urticaria.
However it is not the only method
Other medication like antihistamines are available.
In my opinion if itch is not getting controlled by medication it is better to go for Autohemotherapy.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thank you
