Question: WHAT CAN BE DONE TO TREAT CHRONIC CANKER SORES. THIS CONDITION BEGAN FOLLOWING A SHINGLES ATTACK LOCATED IN THE FACIAL NERVE 30 YEARS AGO. INITIALLY, THE CANKER SORE EVENTS WERE EPISODIC. OVER THE YEARS EPISODES HAVE BECOME MORE FREQUENT UNTIL NOW THE CONDITION IS CHRONIC. THE SORES COVER MY TOUNGE, INNER LIPS, THROAT AND INNER CHEEKS.

I have read your query , reviewed your medications and understand your concern.

Canker sores are multifactorial.

If I were your treating Doctor for this case , I would advice you
anesthetic antacid syrup before food like Mucaine gel suspension to decrease pain ,
multivitamins multiminerals antioxidants syrup like Zincovit syrup twice daily &
Tab Vitamin C twice daily to promote early healing of sores .

Continue antacid tablets and Malox mouth wash .

Avoid any stress , oral trauma & food allergies .

Cauterization can be done if no relief with medication line of treatment.
