Brief Answer:
Vaginal swab examination should be done

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Vaginal candidiasis or yeast infection is troublesome if not treated completely. I would like to know whether your doctor did a vaginal swab examination for finding the type of candidal infection ( albicans or non albicans) as the treatment duration for the non albicans infection is by fluconazole for 14 days.
You can today take a fluconazole for relief, however you do need a repeat vaginal swab examination, and urine examination to determine the type of fungal infection and urine infection.
Also do get your blood sugar levels checked as vaginal candidiasis is common in diabetic patients.
Hope you found the answer helpful. Please do get back for further queries.
Wishing you good health.
