Question: I recently found a bump internally under my chin before my throat starts. Whenever I touch it, it feels very tender. I have had a persistent cough for the past week. What does this mean?

Brief Answer:
Hello. This is probably an inflamed lymph node

Detailed Answer:
Hello. This is either an inflamed lymph node or an infected cyst. If it's a node, it would likely indicate a pharyngitis--throat infection. All this may pass soon, but, if not, you need to see a doctor for a course of oral antibiotics. Please let me know if you need more information.
Note: Consult an experienced Otolaryngologist / ENT Specialist online for further follow up on ear, nose, and throat issues - Book a Call now.
