Question: I have brown spots of skin on both ankles, looks kind of like dirt but doesn't come off. what could this be? I'll send some pictures.

Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I have reviewed the information fully as well as the attached image. This area suggest that at a point blood leaked into the surrounding skin. This might have been caused by pressure at this point from footwear. If there are any shoes which rise up to that point, then that's a possible explanation. This will generally get cleared up by body body defense system. Unfortunately, this often takes a while and as such you will need to exercise patience. No topical products will help in this. Check you footwear and any shoes that get to that level need to be evaluated before being used further.
