Suggest Treatment For Blisters On Foreskin

default
Posted on Mon, 20 Apr 2015
Question: I had bacterial infection a year back 2013 when a sample of sperm was tested and was prescribed amoxcillin, along with alfuzosin. The pain went away after a month of treatment.
Two weeks back I had pain on the right lower back side of my waist and was prescribed SMZ/TMP ds tab 800-160. After taking two doses my tip of the penis swell and became itchy. Called the doctor and was asked to take cipro and stop the SMZ/TMP ds tablet. I did not have any bliisters or itchy feeling on my pennis before taking the SMZ/TMP medication.I applied some hydrocortizone over the penis and the itch went away and the swelling did reside. But I have some blisters from the swelling on the skin near the tip of the pennis and it burns when I pass urine. I try to clean it to help out the burning sensation. I am currently on cipro as my physician thinks that I have UTI or some prostate infection.

What can I do to get the blisters go away on the foreskin on my penis? Will cipro help or should apply some external ointment?

Brief Answer:
Kindly apply this gel.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,

I am Dr. Neel Kudchadkar and I will help you out.

It is a fact that the SMZ/TMP DS medication has skin eruptions as a part
of it's side effect profile. Hydrocortisone has provided good results but
could not eliminate the germs. I would kindly advise you to apply a combo
gel of Betnovate, Gentamycin and Miconazole. Betnovate is a steroid, Gentamycin
is an antibiotic, and Miconazole is an anti fungal agent. This should
nicely fix the problem.

I would further advise you to see a local doctor to acquire this gel, and
even in case the doctor prescribes you a gel that is exactly like this one.
