Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com.
I am Dr.Ajay Panwar,a neurologist,here to answer your query.

Apparently your daughter did not lose consciousness after the head injury and the cut is pretty small. So,it should not have caused an intracranial damage as such. However,I suggest that, keep observing closely, and if she develops any change in her consciousness level or any other behavioural change, get a CT scan of head done.
This is unlikely to affect head growth, though.Getting sleepy and losing senses are different things. If her consciousness level remains fine, she can take a sleep. On the other hand,if she loses her senses due to some intracranial damage, you can't keep her awake, just by engaging her.
So,we can't define a time limit for how long should you keep her awake?

If you have some further questions,I shall be glad to answer.
Regards
Dr.Ajay Panwar,
