Suggest Treatment For Black Spots On The Right Ankle

default
Posted on Tue, 21 Jun 2016
Question: I have a spot on the back of my right ankle as well as right below my left knee. Both areas are about the size of a golf ball. Both spots itch and burn. If/when scratched, little sores are left. Both areas are red but do get dry and flaky as well.

Brief Answer:
Eczema

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query and photograph.
It's looking like eczema.
I treat such cases with a mild topical steroid cream like cortisone to be applied twice daily for a week and antihistamine tablet daily in night.
These medications are safe and usually available over the counter.
You can try this.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thank you.
