Brief Answer:
You need a broad spectrum anti fungal ,antibacterial ointment.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for asking HCM.

I have gone through your query. Balanitis can be caused by combined bacterial and fungal infection. So if you are my patient i would recommend using ointments like panderm plus containing anti fungal agent terbinafine , antibacterial ofloxacin & ornidazole , and corticosteroid clobetasol. Avoid soaps and irritants to wash the genital area and instead you can use saline or warm water. Avoid sexual intercourse till it heals. There is possibility of spreading infection to your partner if you do.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
If it is pure fungal infection this will be enough.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome again.

Thank you for your follow up.

If it is pure fungal infection then this will be enough. Fluconazole and itraconazole are both antifungal agents. You can finish the itraconazole dose. But ointment for local application if you were my patient i would recommend a combination of anti fungal, anti bacterial and corticosteroid like panderm which i mentioned before.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
It is avialable in XXXXXXX

Detailed Answer:
Welcome again.

Thank you for your follow up query.

The ointment i mentioned is panderm plus ointment which contains anti fungal agent terbinafine, anti bacterial- ofloxacin and ornidazole , corticosteroid- clobetasol. This is available in tamil nadu and all over XXXXXXX While getting a fungal skin iinfection there can be a secondary bacterial infection also. That is why i recommend such combination.
Other combinations available are anti fungal - miconazole , antibacterial -gentamycin and cortcosteroid - clobetasol (brands like cloderm GM cream).

All above are prescription medications.
Let me know if anything not clear. I am happy to help you.
Thanks.
