Brief Answer:
Muscular problem likely.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The cramps in the back at your age is more likely to be related to a muscular problem. From description it seems to be mechanical back pain, more related to posture while working.
For pain and spasm to go you have to do back exercises to relive the spasm associated with this. Doing hot fomentation and applying muscle relaxant gel will also be helpful in relieving the spasm.
Correct your posture while sitting. Take frequent breaks during your work.
Lie on hard bed. Avoid forward bending and lifting heavy weight.
You can take anti inflammatory drug like ibuprofen to relieve pain and spasm.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
Wishing you good health.

Thank you Dr. XXXXXXX for your immediate answer.

I am facing this problem since a year.
Initially i got the treatment from a local person and got the area massaged.
The pain lies to the left side and below the waist. It stopped paining that time but whenever i stated the exercise it pained again.

Now i am again suffering the same problem.

i can not bend forward. If i want to bend then i have to fold my left leg and then bend.
When it pains it strikes till the neck.

Please suggest me whom should i consult. ortho? physio? neuro? plz guide.

Brief Answer:
Do consult an orthopedician first.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
It seems you have a muscle spasm in all over the back. You need to consult an orthopedician for examination and prescription oral muscle relaxants. You will need to consult a physiotherapist also after the acute pain subsides so that your muscles regain the proper strength and flexibility.
Hope my answer is helpful.

Brief Answer:
Details below.

Detailed Answer:
A muscle spasm cannot be detected on an X-ray. MRI can detect any muscle tears but is again less likely in your case. You can start taking the medicines and if the pain is relieved then do consult a physiotherapist. He will do a hot compress, massage and will tell you few back exercises that you can do at your home or at the office. Improvising the posture will also help.
Regards.
