Question: I have pain on my right lower back not at all times but it is effecting my ability to do simple things my hips are uneven and my stomach is distended and feels as though it is pulling me forward just below my breast line. My posture is horrible and it is hard to stand up straight. The right side of my back also bows out farther than the left side it also feels firmer than the left side. I am 63 and 5'1" I have an average build except for my belly. I was told just recently that I have some scoliosis (sorry don't know haw to spell that) I had some physical therapy but it was after that I had the pain in the one area.

I think you might have back pain with lumbar spondylitis

Detailed Answer:
Hello, I have studied your case and I think you are having back pain with lumbar spondylitis. Because of muscle spasm you are go having scoliosis. I have following suggestions for you.
1. You need to get x rays of your spine to see if there is any bony changes.
2.Back muscle physiotherapy by strengthening your muscles is most helpful.
3.hot water fomentation is also useful.
4.Take muscle relaxant like myoril or myospaz.
I hope these steps will be helpful in reducing your pain and suffering. You need to reduce your weight also so that there is less load on you spine. Do walking avoid carbs and fat in diet. Please share your X rays with me.
