Suggest Treatment For Auditory Hallucinations

Question: I need to know something about "ear worms," the incessant habit of songs that run through one's head. I have a decades-long problem with this condition - a set of 5-6 songs that are often interchangeable but also often follow the rhythms of my day -- and lately I am finding it particularly distracting. Songs jump into my head as soon as I awake, and rarely leave my head for more than a few minutes at a time. I am an accomplished professional but my peace of mind and my productivity are now taking a hit. XXXXXXX Sachs has written about this condition in one of his books ("Musicophilia") so I am hopeful that this condition has, at least in part, a neurological basis. I live in XXXXXXX D.C. and would also be grateful for a referral, if possible. Thank you.
