Suggest Treatment For Appendicitis

default
Posted on Fri, 12 Dec 2014
Question: Hi. I also wanted to talk to a doctor on here about Appendicitis. What are the symptoms and should i be worried that i am having sharp pain in my lower right side of my abdomen ? It lasts for about 20 seconds then goes away. I've had diarrhea for about 4 days and I've definitely noticed a loss of appetite. I still eat and what not but I'm not as interested in food as i normally would be. I've also had some indigestion. The other day i did go to the doctor about something else and he did press on my stomach and it didn't hurt. Should i be worried ?

Brief Answer:
No,it is not worrisome,possible virus...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have gone through your medical history and noted that all your symptoms are not related to Appendicitis, but to a possible acute gastroenteritis.

The cause might be a common virus. It is not worrisome, it will be over within a few days.
Meanwhile, I advise to take:
- probiotics to normalize intestinal flora
- antispasmodic medications (e.g. buscopan, etc.)
- XXXXXXX diet (banana, rice, applesauce, toast)
- increase fluids intake (especially water with oral rehydration salts)

Wish fast recovery!
