Brief Answer:
depression is treatable condition, please provide more infomration

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,

Thanks for writing to us.

Your narration suggests that you are suffering from depression. And probably severity is more.

Let me tell you that depression in current medicine practice is treatable condition as lots of medicines and other options are available.

Medicine from SSRI group(Fluoxetine, sertraline, escitalopram, paroxetine), SNRI group( Desvenlafaxine, Mirtazapine, Duloxetine) , NRI (Bupropion)and TCA(Imipramine) are antidepressant medicines. In general anyone SSRI is first line drug to start with.

ECT (elctro convulsive therapy ) is also very safe and effective treatment approach and when depression is with suicidal ideas.

Psychotherapy - Cognitive behavior therapy should also be applied simultaneously. It will help to remove automatic negative thoughts and convert your behavior towards more positive aspect life.

I request you to consult psychiatrist soon if you have not did the same and do not take any step which can harm you.You can be normal again.

For providing further help I need to know few things from your side.

- Since when are you suffering from this?

- Which type of treatment have you taken yet? And what are the current medicines going on?

- Is there any specific stress going on in your life?

Waiting to hear from you soon.

Regards,
Dr.Chintan Solanki.

Brief Answer:
need other antidepressant medicines after consultation of a psychiatrist

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for follow up.

You have multiple physical problems with depression-anxiety.You are only on one antidepressant setrona and all other medicines are for physical problems.

With this much chronic depression and sleep disturbance I would like to add other medicine like mirtazapine if I were your treating psychiatrist.
Gp or mental health nurse can help up to some extent but in your case problem is severe and chronic with physical problems so opinion of psychiatrist is essentially needed.
As well as you also need counselling to motivate yourself for exercise and activities and to fight with loneliness.

In conclusion I believe that you are not treated enough with medicines.

Please discuss above aspect with your GP and ask your doctor to make arrangement for consultation with psychiatrist.

Take care. Feel free to ask if you have more queries.
