Question: my hemoglobin is 8.2 (low)-normal is 11.7 - 15.5 and hematocit is 26 (low)- normal is 35.0 - 45.- and patient is experiencing all symptoms of low blood level. Sodium level is also slightly low. I have been in pain first because of humeral head fracture and subsequent shoulder surgery which resulted in my retirement. I am still suffering from a pain mid bicep that runs from my neck down my arm to thumb and have been on Norco since 4/2012. I have asked for a referral to pain specialist to get off Norco and been told no. I also asked for help with the blood issue and a recent bone scan i requested that shows I have bone loss is back and hip. He indicated nothing can be done. I probably need a new doctor and am trying to look through them. However, I'm exhausted all the time and this is overwhelming when you are in constant pain and exhausted.
