Suggest Treatment For Anal Rash

Posted on Tue, 25 Oct 2016
Question: What would cause an anal rash ? My S O believes it was from using Preparation H wipes. He had a colonoscopy 2 months ago , everything was fine. And I'm sure they would have noticed a rash there.
He does have a problem with shampoos , he has sensitive skin. Now he is using Cetaphil soap and an otc cortisone cream. It is clearing up,

Brief Answer:
Possible rash of allergic origin

Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir.

I can certainly understand your concern.

I have worked through your query in detail.

The anal rash is most probably allergic in origin.

This mighht probably resulted from H wipes.

Cetaphil soap and cortisone cream are an excellent options to treat this rash.

Since the rash is resolving in your case, it is a good sign.

Hopefully it should clear completely in a week.

Post your further questions if any.
Thank you.
