Question: Hello,
I had acute pain in foot...As per my symtoms I had come to conclusion that it may be Top of foot pain. Later I had checkup with Orthopedic Specialist. He suggested to take X-ray and get Uric acid level checked in blood.
Blood test reported 9.90 mg/dl serum uric acid and 106 mg/dl Blood glucose p.p
Doctor prescribed Febuget 40 - qty 15 to be taken 1 in afternoon/day and
Zycolchin tab 10 3 times/day.
By my misunderstanding I did take reverse dosage, Febuget 40 3 times/day and Zycolchin 1 time/day.
Now its 5th day.
What should I do?

Thanks for your suggestion of stopping medication for a day and continue as prescribed.

I have stopped Febuget 40 for today. And started right course for Zycolchin which was lastly taken yesterday in afternoon.

Pain in foot has stopped... Pain is experienced very little when foot is compressed with mild pressure in middle from both sides. Else it is not there. I can walk normally but using 1 inch soft foam base slippers.

This problem has been occuring since 2 years in month of May or XXXXXXX Last year it was in Left foot. This year it is in Right foot but same kind of pain.

Last year it was diagnosed as hairline fracture and was applied plaster to foot. This time did changed the specialist who indicated its gout after blood tests.

Thank you for your suggestion...Have beautiful day Dr. Mittal

More information

Detailed Answer:
This is gout.
This condition comes frequently.
Avoiding non veg diet, lemons and citric acid, and vinegar containing food items will help you avoid the episodes.
Check uric acid in 15 days, if normal, the therapy will need to be remodified.
Meet a rheumatologist for the same.
Best of luck.
