Brief Answer:
A low dose antipsychotic (preferably quetiapine) can be used

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

Although there are multiple medications which can help in agitation associated with dementia but I feel a low dose of quetiapine scores over all other antipsychotics.

The other options are SSRI which includes sertrailne and escitalopram.

The other antipsychotics which can be used for agitation include low dose of risperidone or olanazapine.

I will request you to discuss 12.5 to 50 mg of quetiapine for control of agitation with her psychiatrist.

I hope this helps you.
Thanks and regards.
