Question: I am havinf acne on my scalp. I have used Nizral shampoo twice a week but not much improvement. Can you pls refer me a better solution

Brief Answer: noskurf lotion in night time Detailed Answer: Hello dear, Welcome to healthcaremagic. I have read your query and understood your concern. Such acne like lesions on scalp are actually folliculitis which is a highly recurrent condition. You are already using nizral shampoo that is ketoconazole preparation. I usually advice my patients to use noskurf lotion in night time on alternate day basis. You may use your nizral shampoo the next day morning to wash the scalp. This correct method of application is also important. You should leave the shampoo in scalp for 3-5 minutes before you wash off the shampoo with water. This procedure should be done for at least 2 weeks continuously for good results. I hope it helps. If you have any further query you may ask me. Stay healthy.

Thanks a lot Dr. XXXXXXX for your response. So i should use this lotion for how long on alternate day basis. Also i notes that when I use Nizral shampoo, it makes my hair very dry.... Is there any lotion can be used after wash .

Brief Answer: atleast 2 weeks Detailed Answer: Hello dear, Welcome again. You may continue to use it for atleast 2 weeks or till the dandruff is gone whichever is earlier. You are correct. Antidandruff shampoos make the hair dry . You may use any good conditioner afterwards to make hair soft. If you have any further query you may ask me.
