Brief Answer:
Most probably nothing should happen, but better to be safe than sorry

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. A very small bite from a 0.5 xanax pill is indeed a small amount, but the fact that xanax is not approved for individuals younger than the age of 7 years is worrying.

I would recommend a visit to any hospital for observation. There is no way we can get that small amount out through a gastric lavage, so the only thing we can actually do is to observe your child carefully. You can do this at home, but I prefer you'd do so at a medical centre so that a medical team is around and ready if any action is required.

But in all honesty, I think your child might be a little sloppy for a while but she should be fine. I hope you find my response both helpful and informative and wish your child a quick and safe recovery.

Best wishes.
