Brief Answer:
Please have glucose foods, check sugar and watch symptoms over 3 to 5 hours

Detailed Answer:
Hi Zxxx,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.

1. Novalog is a rapidly acting insulin and taking 26 units means it will try to bring down your blood glucose level suddenly in a matter of minutes.

2. Lantus is a long acting insulin and maintains balance in blood glucose level over time and does not show any sudden variations

3. If you have taken 26 units Novalog then please have sufficient amount of high glucose foods so that the blood glucose level does not drop low. You can get your random blood sugar level tested if you have a glucometer at home and if you are fine after 3 to 5 hours then there is no danger of hypoglycemia. Should you feel dizzy and weak then please go to ER for treatment immediately because it can mean low glucose which is an emergency condition.

Hope your query is answered.
Please do write back if you have any doubts.
