Hi
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your query.
I think I would be able to help you.

From the query, I gather that you have problems with abdominal pain and vomitting that your wife is having and that you have got 2 different possible causes.

The symptoms of the query are quite suggestive of either a gynecological problem or urine infection - despite report being normal or food poisoning. A possibility of gastritis is also what k would consider.

However ,I need a more exact history.
Does she have fever?
Does she have loosestools?
Does she have palpitations, dyspnoea or chest dis comfort?

I would suggest starting treatment with a fluroquinolones like ciprofloxacin while I waited for the report to arrive.

I would also suggest usg abdomen with provide, blood culture, urine culture and a gynecological evaluation just to be sure.

I have tried to make it as simple as possible. I hope that the information helps you. Please feel free to contact us for more information. Best of luck. Dr Mittal.

she has gone through all the tests xray, haemoglobin, blood reports and the reports are normal. The ultrasound report would arrive in evening. The doctor said its not the case of food poisoning. She doesnt have any fever, loose stool. I want to add that we had relation without protection for the 1st time. After that only she experienced lil pain. Is there any chance of std??
The doctor has adviced for ultra sound of abdomen and penis. should i do anymore tests???

Brief Answer:
Meningoencephalitis could be a possibility

Detailed Answer:
I think it would be prudent to get a usg of the abdomen for her along with a gynecological evaluation.
Besides, I think you may ask the doctor to consider the possibility of aseptic meningitis, if she has complaints of fever as well as headache.
This latter possibility may be considered more significantly in view of the other reports coming out to be normal.

I personally dont think its a STD. Intersourse with wife is monogamous, and this itself is often a barrier for STDs. So I wont consider it unless you yourself have some symptoms too.

I suggest an MRI brain with contrast along with lumbar puncture for the diagnosis of the meningo encephalitis.

Best of luck

Sir, Her ultra sound reports are completely normal according to conclusion. I have also consulted one of our family gynaecologist. The expert said it may be due to premenstural pain which is due on 18th XXXXXXX She sometimes have delayed mensturation(7-10)days. From yesterday she is doing fine. She is complaining about very acute pain in stomach. She is under medication as doctor prescribed from yesterday. Its basically to stop the premenstural pain. Every one has differnt opinion. :(

Brief Answer:
2 possible causes

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
It's good to hear from you soon.

I think I would suggest 2 possibilities after going through all the questions
1. As I said before meningoencephalitis is a possibility.
2. Severe gastritis can cause acute pain and vomitting.

I think I would suggest that you contact your treating doctor regarding the 2 possibilities.

I have tried to make it as simple as possible. I hope that the information helps you. Please feel free to contact us for more information. Best of luck. Dr Mittal.
