Suggest Treatment For A Person Suffering From Liver Cancer

default
Posted on Tue, 24 Nov 2015
Question: I asked Dr. Indranil XXXXXXX about my cousin xxxxx liver cancer last month, but the question was closed. He agreed with her oncologist that she should undergo chemo-therapy, but wanted to be kept informed of her treatment. I provided the update as a review of the closed question, but that seemed to have gotten lost. I'll try to repeat that below and ask for Dr Ghost's opinion and advice.
XXXXXXX had the catheter placed in the area of her clavicle last week.

Brief Answer:
This treatment plan appears fine

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for followup.

This treatment plan ( known as RCHOP 14) is pretty standard for elderly non-hodgkin lymphoma. Basically one cycle has been divided in two days so it is six cycles total, not 12.

Based on the tolerance doses may have to be adjusted. Overall this regime is well tolerated.

I have nothing more to add at this time. if there is any specific query, I will be happy to help.

Regards
