Suggest Treatment For A Lump In The Right Upper Abdomen

default
Posted on Wed, 7 Jun 2017
Question: I have a round lump approximately 2 inches under my right rib. When touched it is sore and is starting to be painful occasionally. I also have gallbladder like attacks in my upper stomach periodically. Should I be concerned with this? My gall bladder and appendix were removed several years ago.

Welcome to HealthcareMagic..

I read your question completely and have understood it well enough..
I will analyze all your points below..

1. 5cm round lump in the right upper abdomen.. Near the rib margin.
Considering your age 58, I feel it should be a lipoma because there are no other possibilities in that area.

2. Gall bladder like Attacks could be due to Gastritis..

3. Appendectomy and Cholecystectomy done..
OK.. That's fine..

4. Please note these following things.
A. Tell me, is it red or something?
B. Since when did you notice this lump?
C. Is it hard? Or feels like fatty tissue..

Please get back to me with these answers and I will tell how to go about..

Waiting..

I noticed this about 2 months ago. It continues to other me more. It is very hard. I can't tell how large it is. Seems like it is swelling around the area. Area around it looks different than on the rest of my stomach.
