Brief Answer:

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.

Sorry to know about this.
I am Dr. Prakash HM and I will be answering your query.

Based on your query, my opinion is as follows:

1. Joint capsule appears to be inflamed and is usually secondary to osteoarthritis of joints.

2. If the pain is very recent and severe, absolute rest is necessary during acute periods to avoid further damage. If its chronic, you need to avoid activities overloading the joint.

3. The strength of the muscles surrounding the joint needs to be improved. Passive and active exercises. The muscles bridge the joint and will improve the function and reduce pain.

4. Weight reduction will be helpful. If difficult, weight distribution with use of cane or crutch will help. Walking with pain on specific joint, will cause more damage.

At present,
a. You need to taken NSAIDs like Ibuprofen or Celecoxib to reduce pain. Take it after food to reduce gastritis.
b. Intra-articular corticosteroids - It will reduce joint inflammation and hence pain. This is only a short term management, but will helpful.
c. Long term management involves pharmacotherapy, as discussed earlier.

Meet your doctor for intra-articular corticosteroids and prescriptions.

Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
