Question: Dear Doctor, my son is 3 year old and he had an operation with hypospadiasis when he was 1,5 years, it was ok, but he had a fistula that is why he had an other operation with fistula (doctor close it) when he was 2,5 years....and than... now he had a fistula again...but this fistula sometimes close sometimes open....we use a biorton lamp (2 times/day 6 minutes) and arnica XXXXXXX ( 2 pieces/day), water with rodonit... so my question is Can you help us what can I do for the fistula close forever!!! thank you for your answer! XXXXXXX

Thanks for your query,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that your 3 years old son has undergone Hypospadias repair surgery and has developed fistula.

To be true this is one of the known cumbersome complication of surgery for Hypospadias repair.which occurs due to precarious blood supply to neo urethra ...

Some times spontaneous closure of the fistula as the child grows do happen however you can consult experienced Urologist skilled and practising exclusively this surgery for further treatment .
He may need to get it repaired again.

There are no medications that can help to close the fistula.
