Your further information may help me more.
- Since when is this problem?
- Any swelling of he affected leg?
- Which disinfectant are you using ?

The probable causes of slow healing superficial wounds on lower legs and feet, accelerated peeling of skin and intense itching can be:
- Considering the lower aspect of the lower limbs the problem would have started as an allergy to something causing itching and wound formation.
- Loss of the integrity / strength of the skin, which is already the least in this area as compared to the rest of the body.
This also gets reduced with aging.
- Reduced blood supply.
- Excessive pealing can be due to body's normal action / response to form protective layer and the in the process the dead skin will be excessively pealed off.
- Local treatment agents such as disinfectants also can cause more problems as they may not suitable for the skin.
- infection can be the cause
- Deficiency of vitamins
- Varicose veins.
- Idiopathic meaning the exact cause can not be found out.

Clinical evaluation, actual physical examination and investigations accordingly by a Doctor can certainly help to find the causes and plan a proper treatment.

.I hope this answer helps you to get a proper diagnosis, and get a proper further treatment. Please feel free to ask for more if you feel there is a gap of communication.
