Posted on Tue, 11 Aug 2015
Question: I have been done with whole body checkup around 5month ago. Now to diagnose sleep apnea problem doctor asked me to do Vitamin B12, Vitamin-D3 and TSH and she confirmed me that if test reports are available for last 6months will work. So I have that report in that Vitamin B12 is 139 and Vitamin D3-8.1 ng/mL and TSH-2.34 uIU/ml.
So can please give ur suggestions on the basis of given test values and should go for new tests or these report will work.

Brief Answer:
Sleep Study is required.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
Welcome back.
As we discussed last time, that generalized tiredness can be due to sleep apnea , calcium and vitamin D deficiency, your reports are definitely suggestive of Vitamin D deficiency as well as slight Vitamin B12 deficiency.
In my opinion, you should be started on the supplements for Vitamin D and B12.
As far as our discussion on sleep apnea is concerned, you would require to get Sleep study for the confirmation.
Vitamin B12 and Vitamin D levels are not the indicators of Sleep Apnea.
So, in my opinion, you should start taking the supplements, and get sleep study done whenever feasible for you.
I hope it helps you.
If you have any further query, please ask me.
Stay healthy.
