Brief Answer:
clonazepam for short time will help

Detailed Answer:
Hello

The night shifts or changing day night shift duties are notorious for giving rise to sleeping problems.

There are many options available.

Usually, the most common reason for difficulty in falling asleep in day time is in the initial few days.
So,the biologicak clock may take upto 15 days to a month to adjust to new routine.

Secondly, due to absence of peaceful environment. If there is daylight penetrating in the room or noise in home or outside ,its difficult to fall asleep.

Third, heavy meal or no meal ( empty stomach). Try to avoid both conditions by eating something in moderation prior to going to sleep.

Fourth, try to soak feet in warm water or take a bath and sleep.

Fifth, if you must need meds- according to my clinical experience, clonazepam will be good for you. The dosage can be 0.5-1mg. This will give you a prolonged sleep. Try to adjust with other issues as given above (dark room or eating less etc.),and reduce and stop this medicine. Try not to become habituated to the sleeping pills.

If you feel you need meds daily, better change to daytime shift for your overall wellbeing.

Good luck.
