Brief Answer:
Considerations

Detailed Answer:
hello and thanks for sending the question.

It depends how long she has had the symptoms. If the symptoms have only been present for one or two days it would be reasonable to support her with good hydration and possibly some PARACETAMOL for discomfort.

If the symptoms have been present for longer than this it is possible that she may have an underlying ear infection. This may benefit from antibiotics.if her symptoms have been persistent for more than a few days and seem progressive then it might be beneficial for you to take her to the local emergency room or urgent care center for evaluation.

Please don't put any more oil in the ear as it will further worsen the situation.

The medical provider at this location can decide if she might benefit from antibiotics or whether she just needs to give it a few more days with supportive care.

Thanks again for sending your question.

Sincerely,

Dr. Galamaga
