Brief Answer:
Possible viral infection;following advice...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I am sorry for the situation your mother is in.

The stomach upset, lots of phlegm and little vomiting associated with body and backache are indicating for possible acute gastroenteritis although no diarrhea, headache or fever is present.

Virus is a possible cause.

It is good that she is well hydrated, however, I advise to give her:
- antacids and ranitidine to stabilize stomach upset
- probiotics to normalize intestinal flora
- pain killers to ease her body and backaches
- light meals (soups, yogurt, etc.) until improvement

With regards to lots of phlegm, it might be related to lungs infection. Get her checked by her physician as soon as possible as she might need to take prescription antibiotics for that.

Hope it was of help! Let me know if I can be of further help!
