Brief Answer:
Gastritis is likely cause

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for posting on HealthCareMagic. Parental divorce and related issues may cause great emotional turmoil in children, especially of this age. While on one hand, it can greatly alter the psycho-social development of the child, it also has physical implications. Stress is a known cause of hyperacidity which causes gastritis and thereby abdominal pain and vomiting. So, I feel, the anxiety has direct relation to the complaint that you have mentioned.

I suggest these medicines to be prescribed by your doctor. You can request for one. Give the child Lanzol Junior 30 mg tablet once daily in the morning before breakfast. Give it for one and a half months. It will help in reducing the amount of acid produced. If he still has such episodes of pain, give him a few spoonfuls of Mucaine gel while will help in reducing the amount of acid already produced. Giving Ondem MD (ondansetron) 4 mg half a tablet as per requirement will help in reducing the vomiting. Please do not give tylenol.

I hope that taking these measures will give him some relief.
