Question: have tried to control my behavior. I'm behaving quite weirdly. In presence of men, I became self-conscious. I hate myself for my behavior which can be categorized as cheap and inappropriate. Since I turned 14, I have fear to look at men. I can't make eye contact with them.
Even if I made contact, I look at them with a dirty look which ashams me. I don't know why this thing is happening to me. I was a bright student. Still pursuing for civil service exams. But this weird behavior of mine is main obstacle and a stain to my character. It is not like that I behave this way with the people I like, but it happens with every men on the plant who is around me. Please help me to gate rid of my psychological problem which is ruining my life and peace of mind. I am fed up of this behaviour and the guilt which generates after facing such embarrassment.

Brief Answer:
The symptoms could be occurring due to anxiety

Detailed Answer:
Hi, I can understand your concern. Thanks for asking from HCM

A lot of individuals suffer such problem. In most of them underlying anxiety of being judged is found to be the main reason for persisting symptoms. They might think repugnant to their thought or what they don't want to think. Similar thing is happening in your case. You have developed obsessive thoughts and on looking on males bad thoughts are coming in mind. But fortunately it can be treated.

As you are also preparing for exams so the stress might also be aggravating the symptoms. Please visit a psychiatrist for evaluation and help. For such symptoms medicines like SSRIs as Fluoxetine or Paroxetine have great efficacy. If taken regularly these drugs help to control symptoms with in 4-6 weeks of starting treatment.

Behaviour therapy coupled with relaxation exercises also help to reduce abnormal, unwanted and intrusive thoughts. So for proper treatment visit a psychiatrist for help.

I'd also advise you to increase the vitamin B rich foods as milk, curd, animal foods in diet. Take diets rich in proteins and low in fats. This will help to improve your symptoms.

Thanks, Hope this helps you, if you have more doubts you can ask again
