Brief Answer:
He needs aggressive pain management and urologist care

Detailed Answer:
Hi! Welcome to health care magic!

Based on the history and symptoms of your son, I can very well understand the kind of grief and discomfort you and your family will be going through, but we need to look for the possible options to get him out of this instead of measuring the extent of pain at this stage.

It would have been more appreciable if you had shared the copies reports of previous work up which has lead to the diagnosis of bladder cancer and what stage is it into? Next treatment options will depend on all these findings.

As for this moment, first priority should be to look for pain management and for that pain management specialists are also available and all possible options could be discussed with them regarding those pain killers which are safer in his condition. Such painkillers can range from simple analgesics to morphine derived medicines which work for longer time and have more aggressive pain controllers.

Further work up to rule our presence of infection or puss in bladder may also increase extent of pain or discomfort. That infections can be known by urine culture and treated by respective antibiotics as per reports of cultures. If there is any signs of uncomfortable urination or painful urination, that can be looked into by placing catheters whether through skin or through urthera. To summarise everything, this all workup needs strict follow up with a urologist and to follow his advise on regular basis.

Hoping him a beter outcome of treatment. Finally your role is very important in increasing his moral and confidence in treatment and to help him with his stress symptoms by encouragement. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. Regards.

Brief Answer:
He needs more potent analgesics

Detailed Answer:
Hi! Sad to know about the details. You are helping him morally and this is so helpful at your behalf. If his pain isn't controlled by the current meds, you can discus using tramadol or morphine analgesics with your GP. Hope it will work reasonably good for him to control pains. Hoping him a healthy outcome soon. Regards.
