Hi
Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
I have reviewed the attached photograph.
I need to ask you few questions:
Is there history of any eruption prior to the baldness?
Are you having rash or itching anywhere else on the body?
This much of hair loss was over how many days?
Is the bald area on the scalp smooth or scarred?
Are you having the habit of pulling your hair?
Are you having anyother medical ailment?
History of any drug intake?

No historical baldness
No form of rash or itching on any other part of the body
The hair loss its a gradual process but started since 2010
The bald area on the scalp is very smooth
I don't pull the hair, but I noticed each time I comb it,a lot of d hair pulls off
I don't have any medical ailment..
.I have never taken any drug against doctor prescriptions, I have neither taken hard drugs...thanks

Brief Answer:
You are having alopecia areata

Detailed Answer:
According to your history you are having alopecia areata which is a chronic inflammatory disease involving the hair follicles.
In such cases I suggest my patients to apply potent topical steroids like mometasone or clobetasol on the affected areas along with intralesional corticosteroid like triamcinolone acetonide which are injected at intervals of 3-4 weeks. Since your hair loss is progressive you also need oral therapy in the form of oral minipulse of steroids.
All these are prescription medicines and you need to see a doctor in person to get them.
I recommend you to see a dermatologist at the earliest as you are having continuous hair loss.
Wish you good luck.
Regards
Dr Asmeet

Brief Answer:
Start with mometasone lotion along with betamethasone tablet

Detailed Answer:
You can start applying mometasone lotion on the affected area twice daily along with tablet betamethasone 5 mg in the morning on two consecutive days in a week for 6 weeks. First the hair fall should stop followed by hair regrowth. Continue this for 6 weeks and revert back.
But I don't know whether you will get these as over the counter in your country.
